My journey into bodywork and neuromuscular therapy began in 2005, when I reconnected with a natural gift for healing that I had long recognized. After earning my BS in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University, I took the next step to deepen my understanding of the complex relationship between the musculoskeletal and nervous systems by attending the National Massage Therapy Institute. Graduating with honors, I emerged with not only knowledge, but a profound sense of purpose—to heal, to guide, and to empower.
In 2007, I was given the invaluable opportunity to return to NMTI as an instructor and practicum supervisor. There, I helped shape the next generation of therapists, working closely with students to ensure they mastered the skills and techniques essential for certification in bodywork therapies. It was a deeply rewarding experience that allowed me to not only share my expertise but also to refine my own approach to treatment through teaching.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most respected professionals in the wellness field. I worked alongside Dr. Rubin Chiropractic in Philadelphia, Got Your Back in Conshohocken, PA, and Nature Stones Inc., where I honed my craft and expanded my understanding of holistic approaches to wellness. Between 2007 and 2010, I earned licensure for massage therapy from the State of Pennsylvania and pursued certifications in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Hot Stone Therapy, Cold Stone Therapy (HST), Perinatal Bodywork, Somatic Therapies (ST), the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), and Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT).
My experiences have taken me beyond the treatment room and into consultative roles with spas and wellness centers like Hand & Stone in Langhorne, PA and Mellow Massage in Philadelphia. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside holistic practitioners and nutritionists, including Dr. Karen James, a holistic medicine doctor and nutritionist, and Laura Hawley, a licensed acupuncturist. Together, we have fostered holistic wellness approaches that address both the symptoms and the root causes of discomfort, providing clients with sustainable paths to relief and vitality.
My approach to bodywork is deeply intuitive. I am attuned to the subtle ways in which the demands of daily life manifest in my clients’ bodies. Each treatment is customized, and I take great care to provide my clients with the knowledge and tools they need to extend the benefits of our sessions into their daily lives—whether at home, at work, or during moments of rest. It’s not just about addressing symptoms; it’s about empowering my clients to take control of their health and well-being.
Over the last 18 years, I’ve been privileged to work with an incredibly diverse group of clients, from different walks of life, ages, and abilities. Some have stayed with me for nearly two decades, continuously trusting me with their care and referring countless others to experience the same healing. These referrals are the greatest compliment, a testament to the deep, authentic relationships I’ve been fortunate to cultivate. Each client, each colleague, and each experience has enriched my life and my practice in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
I am truly blessed to do work that is not only gratifying but transformative—for my clients and for myself. My journey has been one of constant learning, growth, and connection, and I look forward to many more years of helping people achieve their wellness goals, one session at a time.
